Dentists are heroes – they save teeth and mouths from the perils of plaque and gum disease! But because these problems aren’t always painful, it’s easy for patients to neglect appointments.
Queue Practice-Web’s Unscheduled List!
- Find all missed appointments in one place. In your fast-paced office, no one has the time to search every patient record to find missed appointments. Your team can now fly through the rescheduling process from a single list.
- See the missed appointment info. Knock out chart clutter by rescheduling the original missed appointment. Most of the original info will still be present, including attached procedures, pre-defined appointment length and notes, and assigned providers.
- Easily access a patient’s record. If your patient asks about their account, you can access the record by right-clicking on their row in the list and choosing ‘Select Patient’. Open their Account module to see family balance, remaining benefits, or even resend an email with the patient’s treatment plan. To see their dental record, you can select the Chart Module option.
- See what appointment needs to be booked first. Click on the ‘View Pat Appts’ button to see a patient’s appointment history and determine what treatment planned procedures should be rescheduled next.
- Increase Production and Revenue. Dentists lose thousands in production every month by not rescheduling missed appointments. Don’t let these appointments and revenue slip through the cracks!
How to use the Unscheduled List?
1. Right-click on the missed appointment to mark it with an appropriate status – broken, missed, or canceled.
2. You can setup automated actions to track broken appointments such as adding a charge/adjustment or simply noting it.
3. A black X will appear over the missed appointment block.
4. Right-click on the missed appointment and choose the ‘Send to Unscheduled List’ option.
5. Open the Unscheduled List by clicking on the Blue Notepad in the top-right corner of the Appointments module.
6. Click the Unscheduled button to open the Unscheduled List window.
7. The Unscheduled List shows the patient’s contact info and the original appointment info.
Now what? Sort, Contact, and Reschedule the Appointment!
Sort: All appointments can be sorted by unscheduled status, patient last name or original appointment date. Include Broken Appointments, filter by provider, site or attached procedure code(s). Click Refresh to apply.
Contact: Double-click a row to access the Edit Appointment window for that appointment. Select from the list of Unscheduled List Statuses on the top-left of the window to track methods used to follow-up.
Reschedule: If ready to rebook, right-click on the appointment row and select the ‘Send to Pinboard’ option. Once on the Pinboard, use the calendar to locate the patient’s preferred reschedule date. Then, simply drag and drop the appointment from the pinboard onto your active schedule!
